Greet the Morning Like the Rising Sun

This week I have returned to the Oregon desert, which includes visiting within viewing distance of the roost of about 30 vultures.  It did not surprise me that my nocturnal awakenings included watching myself writing a blog posting about Cib, the vulture.  Cib is one of the twenty soul-values recognized in the ancient Mayan Tzolkin calendar.  This calendar fascinates me, as it does so many people.  There are some who believe that the teaching of the Mayan Tzolkin, their spiritual calendar, is an offshoot of Atlantis, as is Egyptian and many other cultures.  This is all theory and great fuel for those who love a good debate.  I take a different road, and recognize the similarities that exist, showing us the universal nature of these teachings.

So, returning back to the Oregon desert and my dream-state writings, I began my morning by writing the message presented during the night.  I have posted this interpretation and the date that two Cib will next appear in our western calendar in Hummingbird Shaman.

As I typed this posting for the morning, my host stated, “they’re on the fence”, something I missed viewing on my last trip.   They gather on the fence posts to warm themselves in the early morning sun, facing east and spreading their wings to ready themselves for the day.

Today there were 19 vultures altogether, greeting the morning from their individual perches.   They roosted graciously as I meandered over for a photo shoot, watch me as I watch them, but content to continue their early morning warm ups.  Greet the morning like the rising sun, and warm your heart with all it has to offer.

This posting contains a clairvoyant interpretation of the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar, a spiritually focused calendar, presented by Estee Taschereau through her venue YinYangPower.com
