Thursday, September 4, 2008 is 8 Chuen (Monkey): This day was a challenging one to assess, and I found myself working backward from the final day of this cycle, September 9th, back to this day. Sigh, breath: what is the message within this day? As I focus on the message of Chuen, the monkey, it becomes clear. We are preparing for the days to follow, but our movement is incremental and each step is of value to us.
Today we find that childlike energy of Chuen. I began from the more stereotypical view of the playfulness and even trickery of the character Chuen. But as I bring this entire cycle into the fold, from day one to day thirteen, I can see exactly how the influence of this exuberant force of Chuen expresses itself in this cycle. This cycle is all about balance and the flow that comes about when we have balance. This cycle’s energy of Chuen brings us the transparent nature of flow. There is nothing to hide, and to truly experience the inner child we must have innocence and the ability to express ourselves without hesitation or judgment. The transparent nature of Chuen brings us to freely accept and express ourselves. This is our true act of faith, swinging the door wide open to receive exactly what is intended for us to receive. Tomorrow is the day of receiving, what will be on your plate?
