Today is Labor Day in the United States. I think it’s ironic that we have a day of movement and momentum turned into a day of play and rest. Somehow we have managed to create a balance. This is a good day to honor the steps you have taken to arrive at where you are now. No matter where you are in your current cycle you are always in a good place, and never lost. You have come from somewhere. You may be in at that point of manifesting in your world based on those visions of yesterday, or you may be in the space of discontent, ready for the spiritual growing pains that say “it is time to take the next breath”.
There is an expression: no matter where you go, there you are. I think the trick is to find a balance between “you” and “where you go”. We need both to be complete, but sometimes we get lost in the hustle and forget we are an important part of the picture. Sometimes we get caught in our “me-me” voice, and forget that it takes movement to create. Just like the breath there are two sides: inhale and exhale, expansion and release, growth and being in the moment. The two can exist side by side, even concurrently in some cases! Breathe in, and breathe out. No matter what phase you are in within your life, you are a part of it, a participant in every given moment. No matter where you go, there you are.
There is more to this day than labor. This is a day of receiving. Today is Five Lamat, or the Star. What are you receiving, and what internal forces lead you to this moment in your life? Has it been in the act of labor, or the act of love? A reading session can assist you in understanding the bigger picture, and help you gain clarity as to the value of the steps you take.
