Friday, December 5, 2008, is 9 Akbal (Night, House). Is there any such thing as “the still of the night”? The night holds a flurry of activity! So many things can happen when we turn our back, or close our eyes.

Akbal reminds us that there are things beyond our visual perception. How then do we hold on to our dreams during those times of darkness? In this cycle Akbal states, “It is always darkest before the dawn”.

Tomorrow is our day of completion, the day of Kan in harmony with the number ten. What will come of it? Is your dream as clear in the daytime as it is in the night, and visa versa?  If seeing is believing, can we ever close our eyes?  Yes we can, when our dream is held within the heart, for the heart always holds vision and light.

  1. Tartak Says:

I had a dream last night about the great wheel. In my dream, we all had requirements to perform. As 3 Edznab, I was instructed to paint my body black and watch the stars, and also to make/prepare my knife for sacrifice. I did not understand, but I know a little about Aztec tradition. Would someone please tell me that my dream is not real, and that I won’t be sacrificing people to the sun on the next new day of 13.0.0.0.0. Do the indigenous have a number for zero?
