In the Mayan Daily insights we celebrate Friday, January 30, 2009, as 13 Cauac or “the Rainstorm”. I truly enjoy realizations. One such moment came to me as I focused on the flow of this cycle. Cauac is the rainstorm. Many times we look at the rainstorm as something to be weathered, and if we hold tight throughout the day we will come out stronger. We repel the flow, and it falls away like water off a ducks back.
Do we forget sometimes that water contains life? Or do I mean life contains water? Our nutrients are transported within water. We sweat out toxins, again contained within water. The subtle electrical current that flows through us is conducted through water.
Water binds together the particles of matter we know as the earth. On this day of thirteen Cauac we are reminded to bring together that which we have learned. We transform very much like the slab of clay, from a vision in the mind of the creator into a work of art.
Tomorrow we begin another breath in the Mayan Cycle of Numbers. Given the choice which do you choose: the slab of clay, the vision, or the beautiful outcome? We stand here today drenched in the rainstorm that flows in our hearts and minds. Yesterday we sang out, “What a wonderful world”. Can we step out of our composure long enough today for a joyful rendition of, “singing in the rain”?
