In today’s Mayan Daily Insight for Friday, February 6, 2009, we find ourselves in the grip of 7 Cimi (Death). Sometimes it feels like our world revolves around fear. What effect does fear have on us? It causes us to change direction, or paralysis our movement. Either way we do not achieve what we have set out to do in our lives.
On this day Cimi brings us a message of letting go. No, this is not letting go of our dreams, or turning away from our vision. We are reminded to let go of our fear. Our fears carry us in one direction, and this direction will always be away from our next evolutionary step.
When we turn away from our own path we may not even realize it. The sting of the mosquito always contains venom which deadens the senses. Unless we are really paying attention we do not even know we’ve been bitten. Is it not the same when fear takes its bite of our dreams?
Let go of the fear, it is only a shadow cast by our vivid imagination. Perhaps if enough of us cast away our doubts we could make a change. The world would have no choice but to join us in our redirection. It begins with one thought, one mind, one voice that carry’s forth the message. A great voice once said, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” Today Cimi brings that message back into our awareness.
