Saturday, February 14, 2009 is 2 Ix (Jaguar). Today is a celebration of the Heart, and who better to speak to us about the heart than Ix, the Jaguar. We bring this awareness into greater focus with the number glyph of Two, and we all know that two is often defined as the relationship number.
When we speak of our relationships we can easily place our focus outside ourselves. What do I mean of this? We look more at the other person than ourselves. What we do not realize is that we must first bring ourselves into an alignment with the heart before we could ever give or receive from others.
When we find ourselves within the connective flow of our divine love there is no question. We serve without suffering or loss. We give freely, because whatever we give to others we also give to ourselves. This is the divine presence in the expression of love.
Sure there are actions and steps we must take to maintain our relationship, just as there are steps to maintaining our home and well-being. But when we step out of that stream that defines our purpose we lose sight of our selves. Suddenly we find we are giving without balance, and we shift into a role that is depleting. How long can we hold on before we give everything away, including our breath?
When we find ourselves in a state of struggle, being pulled or needing to pull in our directions, we can use this realization as a reminder to step back into the stream of consciousness and divine presence. Ix guides us to that stream, and reminds us of the magic that each of us brings into this world. We need not step back or away to replenish, just step within.
