Saturday, March 14, 2009 is 4 Ik (Wind). I learned something a few days ago, I find that the day of Ik is a wonderful opportunity to share my observation. Earlier that day I worked with a friend of mine, another intuitive and teacher of awareness tools. During this time we assisted each other with our own growth and transition, much as we do for our clients, and we both gained many insights and clarity. Letting go gives us so much more room to be who we really are.
Later that day I picked up my dogs for a long walk in the park, as well as a visit with a hummingbird that calls this park home. My little friend showed up as I circled back to our usual meeting place. Almost instantly I recollected my earlier clearing, and realized I had not quite completed my steps. I climbed the stairs, crossing over toward the branch where my little friend perched. As I watched him he stretched out his wings and ruffled his feathers. “Fill the space you have created”, he shared, “it belongs to you”. I was grateful for the reminder to step further into my own life.
We are here to learn, and grow, and we do so through movement. That movement is physical, spiritual, emotional, mental, and many levels we have only begun to explore. We have breath. In our movement we fill our lungs with breath and that breath helps sustain us. We release what no longer supports us.
The fourth day is symbolic for the seasons and directions, and with all four we have the full cycle, we are complete. Ik reminds us that as we grow we create new space within and around us. That space is our creation, therefore it is ours. “Fill the space you have created”, he shared, “it belongs to you”.
