In the Mayan Daily Insights, Friday, March 20, 2009, is 10 Lamat or Star. The last two days have been a walk into the dream-like state that teeters on the edge of consciousness. Our world tells us what is real, what is important, but still we seek and wonder.
Today also begins the 2009 spring equinox, and with it balance between the seasons. Let’s take that walk on the wild side and bring our conscious awareness to a new level. We have much more than the balance between winter and summer. With Lamat we have the balance between body and spirit.
To stand in the stream of consciousness that is Lamat, the star, doesn’t mean we must give up the world. It’s just the opposite, and tomorrow we will begin the integration of our new found consciousness to what can only be described as a rebirth in awareness.
Today is the opening day of the Healing Drum Retreat. I am excited to see how well the energies have woven together to bring the many together into this collective space. Tonight we build drums in preparation for the resonant tones of tomorrow.
