In the Mayan Daily Insights today Wednesday, April 15, 2009, is 10 Ix, the Jaguar. Today is the day of receiving, also known as the day of manifestation. We can be given love and never feel it. We can be offered a job and turn it down. We can believe we are alone, and life appears that way. We can believe we are embraced by the universe, and that will be our experience.
Every day we are offered many things, and in that moment of introduction we decide what we will accept, and what we will reject. Offerings can come in many forms: gifts, opportunities, information, opinions.
Ix reminds us of one basic truth: no matter what direction you face there will be one common denominator, one question you can ask. “Does this bring me honor?” The answer will always be yes. Perhaps we should rephrase this question, take the evolutionary step up into greater inner clarity, “Does this honor me, or does it honor some idea or concept that I have accepted?”
