In the Mayan Daily Insights Thursday, April 23, 2009, is 5 Ik the Wind. Yesterday we looked into the depth of Imix. No matter how much we try to hold on to those times or places where we feel most safe we cannot. We must continue to grow, and experience, good or bad. We must breathe.
The wind encourages and carries us from that first breath at birth until our final moment. Without the breath we do not have movement, and we will not have life.
We cannot carry the breath into the past, nor can we save up for the future. No matter how much we protest we will be given reminders that we cannot stay in the warm embrace of a moment, but we can always stay in the enlivened space of now.
