In the Mayan Daily Insights, Friday, April 10, 2009, is 5 Muluc or Water. Water is one of the basic elements that we depend on in life. It is a shape-shifter, with many forms. Water cannot be easily harnessed, for its undeniable mission is to flow.
At times the water may take on a murky appearance, hiding what really lies beneath. So it is with our thoughts. We can, at times, get lost within our own perceptions, seeing only what is on the surface, oblivious to the underlying current. A feeling of anger may hide an underlying question of worth, or the sensation of depression might overshadow a special quality hidden away decades ago that we miss every day of our life.
The fifth day is one of looking beyond our worldliness and taking a step in an inward direction. There is more than what we allow ourselves to see. The mysteries of life are the springboard in so many different possible directions. Which road shall we take? Over the next few days we will dive into the pool of Muluc.
