Saturday, April 4, 2009 is 12 Akbal (Night, House). The twelfth day of the cycle finds us in the silence and solitude of the night, Akbal. In this instance of Akbal we will focus on the solitude aspect.
This “turn of events” is intended to be honorable. It is not “go to your room”, nor is it isolation. This is more in the vein of prayer. There is a quote from the bible, Matthew 6.6, that says, “”But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you”.
This day is one of those times you are asked, no offered, to turn within. This is not the time to focus on the world, the way of the world, your relationship with others, or even your responsibilities in the world. (Let me clarify this does not mean you can drop the ball, either.) This simply means that there are times when its between you and your source, call that source God or the Universe, it doesn’t matter. Today is that inward journey into your soul. In this space you can find the sound of your own voice and clarify whatever you need to clarify.
Twelve is a day of processing the events that have lead up to this point. Twelve is the maturing of a thought, lesson, impression, and it is through this inward introspect that we develop wisdom. “We cannot emphasis the importance of this step enough”, says the collective influence of the universe.
One last thing: I find it quite ironic and amusing to have been lead into a bible quote, and when I followed that lead and looked it up the numbers of that quote are Matthew 6.6, which when added together are 12, the day tone for this date. This day’s message has a lovely flow to it, but it also brings home today’s message in that it did not come to me from a worldly place. I did not ask the world, “what do you want”, I asked source, “what do I offer them today”.
My playful side steps in, and I had to look up the numerology for the name “Matthew”, just to see if there is any fit with the 6.6 and 12 “coincidence”. The full name is a 9, the consonants a 3, and the vowel, or the soul is a 6. All these conveniently support the 12 of this day. Twelve is a 3, when the one and two are combined as intended in numerology.
