Friday, April 24, 2009, is 6 Akbal (Night, House) in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar. Yesterday’s message of the breath is important to remember as we step into the night. The dream world is not confined to sleeping. We can also find ourselves drifting off into a daydream, or hypnotized by some mind-numbing experience.
What happens when we are in that state of altered consciousness? When sleeping, our breathing naturally modifies in sync with our brainwaves. When we are deep within a focused state, whether consciously invoked or unconsciously engulfed within, our breathing also changes.
The Zen or Buddhist concept of mindlessness is not unconsciousness. It is not without breath, it is living within each breath. During this day of Akbal we can look into our own altered state of being. We can take our own journey into that place where we are within the moment and filled with breath on every level.
Take that step into your own creative universe, and find clarity in the connection between your thoughts, dreams and the world in which you live. Sessions are available by phone, online (chat) or email.
