Saturday, April 11, 2009 is 6 Oc (Dog). Today we bring in the loyal nature of Oc. In the past I have focused on our own commitment and loyalty to self. In this turn of the Mayan Calendar wheel the focus is on the support we have from the universe, seen and unseen.
When we look around for what will sustain us, what focus do we bring? When we have a feeling of lack and survival then our ability to receive can feel more like taking. I am reminded of the animal-like nature of this “exchange”.
On the other hand we have the ability to create a relationship, and recognize that our source is giving to us freely. Whether this is a person to person relationship, or the connection between you and your spiritual guidance it is all the same.
There is risk with this level of relating.
It is challenging, especially in our times of need, to trust so openly. In our world today we face greater challenges, but this gives us even greater opportunity to test and live the values of Oc, the dog.
