Saturday, May 23, 2009 is 9 Eb, the Road. Eb is the sign of abundance. In this instance the impression given is the breath before blowing out the candles on a birthday cake. A deep breath is necessary to blow out every candle, meaning that in order to receive we must first receive.
If this sounds like a redundant statement it is not, Receiving requires both give and take. First we fill ourselves, whether it is a breath or an inspiration. Then we must give of ourselves, using everything we’ve got to blow out those candles or make that dream come true. We have to give ourselves a chance.
Eb stands by with a reminder that no matter what we seek and no matter where we stand we always begin by receiving. That step might mean a conscious move that leads us to the next step, or simply having faith in ourselves. Or, like the example earlier in this posting, it can be that long, deep inhale, filling ourselves with the energy we need to take that next step, the step that comes tomorrow.
