Friday, May 22, 2009, is 8 Chuen or Monkey in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar. One aspect of the child that is often overlooked is the solitude and centeredness found within. A child can dream the biggest of dreams, content to be within their own perceptions.
This time Chuen comes with the number eight, which I consider to be the spiritual overlay of the number four. The image I hold is the square with the number four, and the cube with the number eight, demonstrating the expansion of consciousness and exponential evolution.
Many times the child is criticized for “being in their own little world”, but what better starting point could we have? From this point we can know ourselves, stay within alignment of our spiritual path, and yet still relate to the world.
Chuen reminds us to find that center, the place where the inner child can play freely within the safety of home. There is no time that the child does not belong in a place of honor, no age when the child must be set aside.
