Mayan Daily Insights: Our Qualities, Virtues, and Values

Sunday, May 24, 2009 is 10 Ben (Reed). Yesterday we spoke of that deep inhale of Eb, voice of the abundance that gives us content in our lives. We carry that breath forward into the manifestation space of the number glyph ten, colored by the flowing grace of the reed.

As we gather the reeds and examine their shape we will find that the reed is hollow. Ben is the container, we supply the content. Does this sound contradictory to yesterday’s statement? Not at all, the matter given to us is much like the raw materials, we create the final product.

There is no such thing as an receiving freely.  Call it a doorway, then the price we pay is to walk through the door.  Call it an opportunity, and the price we pay is to take a chance.  Nothing comes to us freely, but this world is an abundant place.  Let’s take it to one other example: if life is a banquet you still carry your own plate.
