Treasure the pearls, and the swine

In the Mayan Daily Insights, Tuesday, May 5, 2009 is 4 Ix, the Jaguar. Yesterday we spoke of the satiated step forward from the childhood stage, playfully staged for us by Chuen, and journeyed forward into the decisive realm of Ben. Today we carry that forward with Ix, who enlightens us with a spiritual level that beckons to be appreciated.

“Estee, what did you just say?” When we are a child our steps are very important, and we must be allowed to focus on those steps. But the child cannot appreciate many of the concepts that the adult brings into their awareness. To bring those qualities too early would be much like casting pearls before swine, and we would trample our own treasures under those awkward little feet.

No, this place of Ix carries a complexity. For those who have ears let them open to hear the voice of spirit. For those who can see let them open their eyes. For those who, for whatever reason, need to linger in the state of Chuen, there is still much to be found on this day. They will be amongst the radiance of Ix, much like a child in the loving arms of their parent. Taken a step further we can carry this next-step value of Ix into our own heart, and with it build a safe, welcoming space for our inner child.
