Friday, June 5, 2009 is 9 Chicchan (Serpent). Yesterday we spoke of the seed in the sense of planting, but there is one part we left out. The seed gives us something to look forward to in life. We can anticipate the outcome, dream of the abundant growth. Is this getting lost within a dream? No, the dreams we speak of are not about some wild unrealistic fantasy or far-fetched idea.
Perhaps we have unlocked the reason why Chicchan follows Kan, the seed. A seed, at first, is self sustaining, but that original thought can carry us just so far. We need the world around us in terms of a place for that seed to take root. Life will not be sustained if the new growth cannot be grounded, or cannot receive from the world.
Chicchan is a strong earth influence that is rich with passion and experience, and we can benefit in two ways: as the recipient we can flourish through our connectivity to the world, growing stronger in body, thought, and feelings through our experiences; as the creator we can build our dreams and make them stronger through our own enthusiasm.
Chicchan does not let us get lost within the region of untouchable visions, but gives us a more earthy stream of encouragement that reminds us that our dreams can come true.
