Monday June 29, 2009 is 7 Muluc (Water). At the peak of the 13 “day” cycle we find the graceful energy of Muluc, the water. In this day the word, “assimilation” comes to mind.

Sometimes the rains come hard and furious. The land can be overwhelmed in such an event, and things newly planted can be washed away. There is a natural harmony between the earth and the water, and usually the rains come in such a way that they are quickly assimilated, disappearing into the earth but serving nonetheless.

When we change our lives too quickly without time for so much as a breath we can become quickly overwhelmed as well. Time serves us in our act of assimilation, giving us a chance for those new ideas to soak in, and giving those new seedlings of learning a chance to take root.
