Thursday, June 18, 2009 is 9 Edznab (Flint). We know what its like to work so hard at something that by the time you are finished you can only see the problems along the way. Deep down, underneath the struggles and setbacks, lays that original dream.
It’s not like we saw the dream all that clearly at the onset. It was more like a reflection of the dream, the aura of hope and desired outcome. Today is Edznab, when we get that last piece of the puzzle and realize, “Oh, that’s what I was working so hard for”. Then we get to choose, which do you treasure – the actual dream come true, or all the “stuff” you went through to reach this point.
Edznab is truly one of those eye-opening tones within the Mayan calendar. Thank goodness these days come around so often, it gives us a chance to re-examine and see things in a whole new light. Not from the perspective of someone who has learned the ways of others, but from the eyes of someone who has been there.
