Thursday, July 9, 2009 is 4 Cauac (Rainstorm). Today the message contained within the rainstorm of Cauac is the importance of clearing our minds and our visions so that we can differentiate between the weeds and the seedlings.
How often do we ask for change, and then when that change comes about we trample the seedlings underfoot? Cauac is the 19th of the 20 glyphs, and at times acts like keeper of the gateway, giving us both that glimmer of light as well as reminding us not to follow in the footsteps of the ancient Gods, looking down on our earlier, primitive ways.
Every aspect of your existence is a part of you, and though you may not see its value, the value is there nonetheless. Perhaps the single word we could use today is honor, not the egotistical, status climbing honor given to the captain of the football team, but honor for the dew, the teardrop, and the still pond that always gives us back our reflection.
