In the Mayan Daily Insights, Tuesday, August 25, 2009 is 12 Cimi, the glyph of Death. As humans we have an amazing ability to not just create an idea or vision, but to also hold that thought within our consciousness. Holding our vision helps us greatly in making that vision into a reality.

We can also easily hold thoughts that break down our visions, or direct our energies in harsh whirlwinds that hold us in their grip.

Cimi is not the grim reaper. No one is taking our breath away from us, or our power. What Cimi tells us is that when we hold thoughts too tightly we can in fact take the breath from something that we want to create. The influence of Cimi is a graceful reminder that at times we must loosen that tight grip we have on our beliefs, rules, and must-haves in order to take that next deep breath.

Today is the day of twelve, so gather up the seeds of thought from the harvest of yesterday, and fill yourself with the breath that will carry you into tomorrow, the day of thirteen. You know the sun will rise at any moment.
