In the Mayan Daily Insights, Wednesday, August 12, 2009 is 12 Ben, the Reed. This three day period, the 11, 12, and 13th day tones, holds a wonderful message about how important we are in the bigger picture. We have yesterday’s message with the Road, and while our path is something unique to us it still appears to be outside ourselves, like a place we are headed toward that is not yet a part of us.
Tomorrow we have Ix, the Jaguar, connecting us with the incredible wisdom of the universe. Since this higher spiritual level is often viewed from our physical presence as the vast space of infinite possibilities, this too is often seen as something outside of ourselves, something that is not yet a part of us.
Today we stand with Ben, the Reed in the twelfth day tone. I see this as an opportunity as well as an obligation. The road beneath our feet is given to us freely, and many great possibilities come streaming to us every moment of every day. No one, not even our creator, can live our lives for us. It is our right and privilege to stand in the middle, and hold open the dream.
