In the Mayan Daily Insights, Wednesday, August 26, 2009 is 13 Manik (Deer, Hand) . Yesterday we took our collective beliefs into the night, and in a sense placed ourselves on the spiritual “chopping block” of Cimi. Today we awaken to find that our vision or dream is not just intact, but cleared of so many of the old beliefs that just don’t fit anymore.
Having this cleansing moment can seem to be the hardest thing to do, because after all it would not be the first time we had thrown out the baby with the bathwater. (For the younger group reading this posting, yes, this is an old expression. No, I am not that old, yet).
As we awaken we find ourselves in the gentle hand of Manik. It’s not so bad to loosen that grip. We need not worry that our dream will escape, and really, if any dream is so feeble that we have to work hard to hold it together then maybe we’re doing ourselves a favor by letting it slip away!
So today we have the thirteenth day in the graceful support of Manik. This magical day in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar is a day of expansion that becomes the framework for our next cycle. Many old beliefs just don’t fit anymore, so why not give yourself a little room to grow.
