In the Mayan Daily Insights, Monday, August 17, 2009 is 4 Edznab (Flint). Today the first concept to greet me is the age old question of which came first, the chicken or the egg.
We have an interesting paradox that all things come about first on a spiritual level (or if you are so inclined, thought level) prior to the physical appearance. Yet wisdom is something that follows experience.
Thus we have the ongoing cycle of life. We ask or question, or inspire. We create, consume, and quantify the experience. We amass the value of what we have gained, yet within us is a wisdom that says what comes next is far greater than any step we have already taken.
Today is Four Flint, showing us that it is the combination of spirit and body that animates, satiates, and carries us forward.
