In the Mayan Daily Insights, Sunday, August 23, 2009 is 10 Kan, the Seed. Today is the tenth day in the 13 steps of the day tones. To the Mayans this day was considered an ominous day. As an intuitive I feel I have not fully seen the reason behind that perspective other than the realization that what we manifest can be just as destructive as it can be creative.
So today on the tenth day, the day of manifestation, we say, “Happy Birthday”, and sing a song. We blow out the candles and open our presents, and what do we find? Is it the symbolic “reward” that we have created that is nothing more than a promissory note who’s value is weighed and measured by means that discount our honor?
Isn’t the greatest gift of all the seed, our ability to create? This is a gift that comes not from the hands of others, but from the forces that animate us. The seed is all possibility, and like the cosmos we can think all we want about its size and dimension, but in reality it is beyond measure. Happy birthday, no matter which day it falls upon. The possibilities are endless.
