In the Mayan Daily Insights, Saturday, August 15, 2009 is 2 Cib or Vulture. Today I see this sign in direct correlation to the previous day’s actions. How do our acts of sharing affect our own life? We can focus on the act of giving, but then what are we looking at, something we gave away or lost?
Instead we return our attention from the act, or the details, and bring our focus back to ourselves. The subtle effect of spirit can be overlooked as “hidden”. It is merely overshadowed by the more glamorous acts and statements.
When we look at Cib, the vulture, we may very well be delving into that same place within ourselves. It is not what comes and goes, but who we are beyond our actions. Cib talks to us of surrender, and today with this “two” step process we will see Cib stripping away the cloak of “living” we hide behind so we might find the essence behind it, the real beauty.
