Mayan Daily Insights: One Day, One Insight

In the Mayan Daily Insights, Tuesday, September 8, 2009 13 Ahau, Light or Lord. Today is the final day of the 13 day tones, this time corresponding with Ahau, the final picture glyph. Tomorrow begins anew. As I prepared myself for the message of today I was a surprised by the simplicity of the message.

We live in a world of containment. Surrounded by walls and partitions, we live our lives in boxes. Our body lives within an aura of our energy, and we set boundaries for our “space”. The clock ticks second by second, giving us a division in time. Thoughts and emotions serve to create further separation between us and the world around us.

The Light, Ahau, exists in, around, and far beyond the divisions we create. The light permeates our world effortlessly. Of course our containment serves us. We have to have some limitations, make choices, but we never are asked to live outside the light. Ahau, the light can be with us, within us, far beyond the divisions we create.

Tomorrow we begin a new 260 day cycle, one of the final few remaining in the ancient Mayan Tzolkin Calendar on the day September 9, 2009. This shift is already happening in and around us. Today is an excellent day to face and release what no longer serves you.
