In the Mayan Daily Insights, Tuesday, September 22, 2009 is 1 Ix (Jaguar). This next 13 day cycle begins with a reminder of the power we all possess. We are one, the singular, we are one, the all-that-is. Our living finds us oscillating between the two.
Ix, the Jaguar, is known for great strength and the ability to fight. How much time is actually spent in fighting? Very little of this master’s energy is directed into fight. The act of fighting does more than determine who is strongest. It also depletes the strength of both victor and victim.
We all possess strength. Even if that strength lies dormant within us we all have strength. It is not always about the show of our abilities that makes us powerful. This image I see is one of the Jaguar in stillness. Sometimes our power is most defined when displayed, but to have that aura of power, that aura makes a powerful impression as well.
On this day one we find Ix, the Jaguar, displaying strength not by expelling its power but by living within its power. There is a time and place for everything, and for this moment that place is to be one within ourselves, living within our power.
