In the Mayan Daily Insights, Wednesday, September 2, 2009 7 Ix, or Jaguar. Today I am reminded that our power runs deep. Several hours ago I ran thoughts through my mind of a possible conversation. Within that imagined conversation I gave a suggestion of planting some kind of signal, like a sneeze, as a way to literally snap (or sneeze) out of an old pattern. Within a moment I was pulled back into the events of the day, forgetting the dialog that I had created.
Hours passed, and before calling it a night I decided to turn the computer back on and complete my typing of the insight for the next day. As the computer completed its start up processes I waited impatiently, and my mind churned out thought after thought. I turned to pick up the keyboard, and sneezed. I knew right away the connection. I had taken a thought of a conversation I was yet to have and had already created an outcome. I had instilled into my own behaviors a new pattern, not by practice or teachings, but through only a thought.
We live in a world that revolves around experiences. Those experiences are formed out of our beliefs and ideals. In order to support the outcome that is strongest, conscious or unconscious, we see ourselves in a particular light. Sometimes that requires seeing ourselves as less than divine. Day after day goes by, and we become experts at living the story, burying our ability to transform and create deep within.
Today is Seven Ix, the day of the Jaguar, with a reminder of who we are underneath the cloak of stories we call living. Sometimes all it takes is something as simple as a sneeze to awaken.
