In the Mayan Daily Insights, Sunday, September 27, 2009 is 6 Cauac (Rainstorm). So often in this world we look at those things we wish to let go of, and may see the rainstorm as a means to “wash away our sins”. Today we will look at Cauac, the rainstorm, in a different light. This is quite appropriate as we prepare for tomorrows tone of Ahau, the light.
As we travel through life we are given many experiences of many different types. The Mayan Tzolkin calendar is a reflection of that journey, with its many characteristics and qualities presented in its 20 glyphs.
The rainstorm has the quality of water, much like Muluc, with its reflectivity and ability to conduct energy. Imagine today that you find not one mirror, but thousands. Each and every raindrop gives you another tiny reflective look within. Sure, there are times when we say, “Oh please, I don’t want to look that closely at myself”, but keep in mind that the rain only reflects, it does not judge. We are far too good at judging ourselves; we don’t need the universe to help.
Let’s look at the rainstorm in a different light: every person you meet is a raindrop, reflecting back at you one tiny little aspect of yourself. As you walk each day you have the choice to honor that part of you or turn away. We all have at our disposal each and every one of the qualities talked about in the Mayan Daily Insights, and while there are some that one person may reflect stronger than another, we all share from the same resource.
I ask you today to find opportunity to look into the eyes of another and do so with grace and appreciation. As you do so that electrical connectivity is at work, building our quantum web with acceptance and appreciation instead of breaking down and apart.
