For today’s Mayan Daily Insights, Wednesday, September 23, 2009 is 2 Men, the Eagle. This is the second day of this 13 day period, and the second day we have faced a powerful spirit. Today we speak of the Eagle, and again find that it is not so much our actions that give us presence, but our controlled use of our abilities that shows our true power.
I cannot help but see the faded image of a person who throws all their energy into maintaining their dominance. I wonder what is left in him to actually fulfill his dreams. How much of his power is wasted through displays that only talk of his superiority, rather than show it in action? How much can we really respect such a fruitless display? When I look back there is nothing memorable of the person, only the stench of power misused.
There is another way, and I can happily say that I do know many people who live for and of their dream. They are inspirational, standing in their aura of readiness. They are approachable, for while they know their own strength they do not need to give constant reminders of it with talons projected out into the world. No, there is far too much that can be done in this world, why waste our precious resources in non-productive ways.
Men, the Eagle, is a sign of our ability to perform service. Service is the greatest demonstration of our abilities and true nature. It is a refined, focused use of power that is channeled into creating, not some razzle-dazzle light show that produces nothing than a cloud of smoke.
Right place and right time, this is the power of the eagle. Whether our acts are ones that are intended to serve ourselves and our mission or acts of service that involve helping others we will see that there is no depletion. There is only honor as the eagle stands tall, living within its message. Yesterday we had the Jaguar in the singular place that is oneness, today we have the Eagle with the number tone of two. You may have the voice of only one, but you will never stand alone when you live with your dream.
