In the Mayan Daily Insights, Friday, September 18, 2009 is 10 Oc, the Dog. Ten is known as the day of manifestation, but let’s take that definition a step further. Today is the day to show our true colors. Actions truly do speak louder than words. Maybe we should (laughingly) add throw another expression into the heap: “put your money where your mouth is”.
I feel almost harsh in the words spoken, but also see the point made by Oc, the dog. Oc never stands with one set of values in one hand and an unsupported outcome in the other like Chuen the Monkey might do. Oc never stands with one hand behind its back with fingers crossed. Perhaps today we see the reasoning for placing Oc before Chuen on the wheel of the Mayan calendar. Perhaps it is good to focus on our intent before we jump wildly into the playful day of the monkey.
Show our true colors. Tomorrow we have the game, and the child like monkey has every right to play. How would it feel though if you jumped full force into the game only to find that someone had changed the rules? It might dampen the fun, even damage your chances of winning, even if it is “just a game”.
This next week was written backward, starting with Tuesday’s equinox and day one of a new cycle, stepping back to this day. Ah yes, we cannot look at any day (or step) and say it is only a step. Everything has purpose and meaning, and even when we cannot see the effect on our next step, or our entire life, that step we put so little thought into might be the pivotal moment.
