In the Mayan Daily Insights, Tuesday, October 6, 2009 is 2 Lamat, the Star. We all want to be stars, don’t we? Even those who hide within themselves long to be, and that is the truth of it, we long to be. How do we know our “beingness”? Is it through our own eyes, or through the eyes of another?

On this day we have both the division and the feedback of two, and given the energy of Lamat, the Star, we move past the full belly to the full heart. Can we achieve this by ourselves? Perhaps we can, and even when we interact with others there is still the element of our own steps, our own input. Yet we gain so much when we see ourselves in the eyes of others.

Today is the Star, and while the star is surrounded by darkness it cannot help but shine. It is only in the darkness that we see the true brilliance of the light.
