In the Mayan Daily Insights, Friday, October 2, 2009 11 Kan (Seed, Lizard). Yesterday we had day 10, the day of completion in the House of Akbal. What does that mean? I see it as meaning that no matter now many others our projects involve, there is always a part of those projects or experiences that are meant for us. In everything we do there is always one common center-point. Guess who stands there, in the middle.
Today we have the eleventh day, a time that we ascend above the worldly 10-step cycle. On this particular day-11 we bring in the influence of Kan, the seed. The seed is more than just a new beginning. Every seed goes through a metamorphosis, the cycle of life. There is more to this story, the story of life: Before the seed becomes a seed there is an intent or a purpose of its origin. There is a DNA or genetic collection that provides the color of the blossoms and the fragrance of the petals. The seed does not determine the final outcome for the plant, but it does get it off to a very nice start.
On this day, the day of 11 Kan, our focus is on that higher level, the spirit-based creative space. The seeds may be planted in the ground, but the origin of the seed begins on a much higher level.
This brings to mind many questions, with one standing out before all others: What elements are you adding to the composition of your seeds, that next step in your life. Should you have any concern for the handful of tomorrows that you hold in your hand?
