In the Mayan Daily Insights, Wednesday, October 14, 2009 is 10 Cib (Vulture). This is day ten in the thirteen day cycle, and many see ten as completion or manifestation. The ability to manifest is very much a physical thing. So then what do we have when we bring in the face glyph of Cib, the Vulture? My first thought turned toward the idea of watching our dreams fall apart, and I tried to turn away. I was completely wrong in my initial focus, and I had to take a breath and listen to get the real message for this day.
Have you ever had one of those times when instead of giving attention to what you have created you quickly divert your attention to something else? It’s almost as it we’re trying to avoid our own creations. I know I have done this, and as Cib shows me this pattern I recognize it in myself.
We’re all very busy these days, or maybe its better stated that we live in a belief that we are always busy. Say it, and it will be that way. What does this choice to be “busy” do to us? We build many sandcastles, and then we create one heck of a maintenance issue for ourselves when the tide starts coming back in. Is there ever any time in there to enjoy what we create?
The point to be made by Cib on this tenth day of completion is to release the complications and distractions so that you can recognize your own successes. How else do you learn to know your own abilities and feel your own empowerment? So as the day goes on try to make some time to see those many sandcastles on the beach. If you do not do so today you might miss out on yet another opportunity to acknowledge your own creativity and creations. Our dreams are more complete than we give ourselves credit for, and its true, sometimes by the time we look all we see is the remnants of something that has already washed away. Look now, for the tide will come back in. It is guaranteed and very much on purpose, because we must always make room for tomorrow.
