Mayan Daily Insights: Our Qualities, Virtues, and Values

In the Mayan Daily Insights, Monday, October 5, 2009 1 Manik, the Deer. Since this is the first day of the cycle we walk in unity even when we walk in different directions. There can be no other way: we are together in this world, and whether we see it or not there is a connectivity.

A few days ago I shared a look at the flow of this cycle, and Manik, the deer sets a strong tone of acceptance. We are all in this together. Sometimes it may feel like “every man for themselves” but what reward do we see in that mentality?

Success comes in service. When we serve one another there is an exchange, a sharing of mind or matter. Manik helps us find the right mindset for the coming days. When we step into service we set aside the ego and give our attention to something outside ourselves. We expand ourselves through service as well, in a way that comes naturally.

We are together in this world, and our steps can be ones that support that concept.   The grace of Manik, the deer, can be carried forward in our thoughts and actions, and our interactions as well.  What better way to open doors!
