The Aftermath of the Feast

In today’s story I am reminded in of the feast, and each of us is satiated, even if our only pleasure is in eating our own words. Pass the Tabasco, if you please.

Following the feast you will always find the animals of the world retreating to their safe haven to digest what they have consumed. What better time to replenish the energy expended in the chase, and what better time to give full attention to getting the most out of their bounty.

Today in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar, on Wednesday October 28, 2009, we have the combination of the number eleven and the face glyph of Oc, the dog. Though the dog is immensely loyal, you will always find the dog taking every opportunity to forage or rest, by doing so they prepare for their next act of service.

Yesterday we had the day of completion, the feast, so to speak. Today we digest. There is no value in the hunt or the kill if we do not nourish ourselves. There is not value in the acts and the efforts in our lives if we do not learn and grow. Through our act of turning inward we can give full attention to the life we have created, and as we digest we take only that which benefits and nourishes.
