Mayan Daily Insights: Our Qualities, Virtues, and Values

In the Mayan Daily Insights, Monday, October 19, 2009 is 2 Imix (Alligator). All creativity happens when we turn our attention outside of ourselves. We began with the light of Ahau, longing to be more than we were yesterday, and somehow a spark ignited. Suddenly we see something new, and though we give it its own identity we still see only our own reflection.

Today is Imix, the very core of creation. When we carry this concept with the second day-tone we have the relationship between the creator and the creation. Every thought and action is of our own making, and reflects our existence. What would happen if we turned our focus on the power behind everything we think and do? Would we see the beauty, or abuse that power in any way, turning away from others or ourselves?

On this day we can turn our attention toward the creator inside of us. What we choose to see outside ourselves resonates with the world inside. Perhaps if we bring more consciousness into the origin of everything we create we will attune ourselves to what really matters.
