Mayan Daily Insights: One Day, One Insight

Yesterday we focused on the master storyteller, and that whimsical creative spiritual self fills our lives with many great stories and experience if we allow ourselves to have it. Isn’t that what life is all about, embracing the richness of everything we are offered? We are not meant to float off in the distant watching life pass us by, no, we are to plant our feet firmly on the ground and get muddy if we need to.

Today, Friday, October 30, 2009 is 13 Eb, the Road, in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar. Events of recent days have reminded me to revisit our purpose, to realize that each step is important. One step leads to another, and so on.

So today we focus not on direction but on the act of being here to the fullest. Turn left or turn right, whichever feels good to you, and get those feet muddy. The times we remember are precious to us because our acts of love and passion, and they so richly touch the hearts of those around us. Take every opportunity to create those moments, for they light the way for others. What beauty lies beneath us in living.
