Mayan Daily Insights: One Day, One Insight

We really do need these times of darkness, silence, and the moment of the exhale. This morning as I prepare today’s posting I feel the quiet around me as something so attentive to everything I do. I feel at peace with this presence. It is the moment, the now. It is my own consciousness awakening to my own awareness awakening to me.

In the Mayan Daily Insights, Tuesday, November 10, 2009 is 11 Akbal, the night or the house. There is a sense of gratitude for living in one’s own house, being here and now outside the density of the daytime wonders.

On this eleventh day of conscious evolution we also step into a place similar to the night of Akbal. Today, for me, it feels like my own sanctuary, a place where I can be at peace with what I know and where I have been. Need I shed any feelings or thoughts as I enter the doorway of Akbal within myself? Of course I can, for any process or growth requires change, and any garden produces both the seeds planted and the weeds that seek their own growth.

As I complete these words for today I find myself stepping back into though rather than awareness, and I find myself longing to go back into the quiet embrace of Akbal, the night. I feel at peace with this presence, this silent part of me.
