Mayan Daily Insights: One Day, One Insight

Last night, in the early evening of November 1st, I decided to take a walk while returning a few calls to clients seeking a private session. One in particular came to mind as I rode down the elevator and into the lobby of the hotel. I turned the corner and walked out into the night, joining the palms and the pools of water in the light of a near-full moon.

I was prepared for this walk, looking forward to the gentle illumination and silent song that followed. A melody came to mind, and I paused to repeat it. I made my call, and during the 10 or 15 minute talk I walked calmly through the empty cabanas and meeting areas. All the while the moon follows me, steady and calm.

I returned to my room only to be beckoned out into the moonlight for yet another walk. “Of course”, I replied, taking my sweater to offset the cool night air. We sat within vision of the luminous moon, drinking in its beauty.

“We’re told that a shift is here. Open yourself to the higher vibration, and allow it to fill you, and then the shift will be graceful.” We sat in silence again, and could feel the rush of energy. “Release, surrender: that is the message of the moon. “Be the recipient”. So much took place throughout the day, with many thoughts and conversations. Now was the time to be still, and receive.

Through our consciousness we begin with an awareness of self, followed by an awareness of others. Then we take the next step into relating to one another. What do we give of ourselves when we interact with one another? What do we receive from others?

Today is Three Men, the Eagle, in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, and it took the light of the full moon to complete this threesome. There is our presence, our awareness of the moon, and the impression or experience we allow ourselves in the interaction between the two.
