Mayan Daily Insights: Our Qualities, Virtues, and Values

One thing is clear in life, and that is the depth we can achieve. It’s a mixed bag, and can be a little bit confusing at times. We find ourselves deeply entrenched in the chaos, thrilling as it is, frustrating at times. But at some point we have to find our clarity, reestablish our purpose. This is the only way to really get a handle on what we create.

Today in the Mayan Daily Insights, Wednesday, November 25, 2009 it is 13 Etznab, Flint. What does this mean? Well, it is a strong reminder that we do fill our lives with beginnings and endings, and we do make steps with every breath. Life is supposed to be engaging! We also need our times of silence and focus, to realize just how much we have, how many we love, and what we truly value.

In our modern world we set aside a few days each year to bring focus to giving thanks, or honoring our veterans, or acknowledging our spiritual guidance. In the Mayan calendar every single day has significance. There is so much for us to be grateful for that we still cannot cover it all. That in itself is something to be grateful for. Thank you for the breath that fills me so many times in just one minute. Thank you for the thoughts that captivate my attention.

Today is 13 Etznab, reminding us that as we teeter between today and tomorrow that we look at life from a different perspective, and as we do so we can also choose whether or not we appreciate or accept what we have created, and more clearly see where we go from here. Isn’t it one of our empowering qualities, to give thought and thereby create our own evolution? As we move toward 2012, wouldn’t it be wise to give at least some thought our steps now and tomorrow?
