Mayan Daily Insights: One Day, One Insight

Is there a direct correlation between our acts and the resulting response from the world? What I mean: is there a measure-for-measure relationship between give and get?

If there is such a law or rule on a spiritual plane then we certainly do not see it reflected on this earth, at least not by worldly rules. A strong imbalance seems to be in place. Did we go wrong, and if so where did we go wrong? Is it better to look at what we have created from the perspective of making mistakes so that we have at least an inkling of a chance to correct ourselves?

Today in the Mayan Daily Insights, Sunday, November 22, 2009 is 10 Men, the Eagle. We bring together two powerful thoughts: Our ability to do what we must to complete our task, and the day of completion. When all is said and done, what will we see?

Let us not drift into thoughts of 2012, the ominous or end-of-the-journey mentality. Instead let’s look at this day as the moment our foot hits the ground in one step within our lifetime. Did we take that step with awareness of the terrain? Did we take that step also knowing the purpose for moving in that direction? Will either of those conscious focal points aid us as the dust rises from that oh-so-forceful step?

Even if we cannot fully engage the head, seeing as it is almost the furthest point from our life-steps, we can at least involve our heart. I say it is time we listen to that middle-man, and allow greater mediation between our thinker and our steps. There is hope from the future when we are coming from the right place.
