Yesterday was a day of getting past our tough exterior via the rainstorm. Today I am reminded to focus on what is found beyond those rain clouds. Today in the Mayan Daily Insights, Saturday, November 7, 2009 is 8 Ahau, the light.
My attention turns to the beginning of this cycle, beginning on Halloween with One Ben. Hallow is honor through ritual, making something sacred. To make anything sacred we must allow it, bending in our own desires to follow a certain shared belief, accepting without question.
The 10th day of our cycle is Ten Ik, and we will find that if we allow the wind to carry us it will take us in its own direction. We conclude with 13 Chicchan, the serpent on the Thirteenth day, but how much do we allow ourselves of our own adventure without thought of tomorrow or limitations of the past? We are here to fully embrace the moment.
Today is Eight Ahau, the when we lay down the cards we see everything pointing in the same direction. Stop trying to push everything in its imagined rightful place. There is another way, beyond our willfulness, and that is simply standing in the light. The rainstorm has come and gone, its time now to see things more clearly. Easier said than done!
