Commitment and faith go hand in hand

The good news, and the bad, is that no matter where we go there we are.   We are always in the middle.  While this is true on a physical sense we make the choice as to how acceptant and cooperative we are with our thoughts and conscious directives.  How many times do we see someone daydream what they desire and completely neglect the opportunities that surround them in the present?

Today is December 7, 2009, and 12 Oc the Dog in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar.  The number twelve is a bit surreal in a sense, somewhat like growing into new shoes that in the present do not fit, but there is no doubt of what will come.  There is no doubt – this is the handiwork of Oc, the Dog.   Commitment and faith go hand in hand.  With commitment we have the strength and endurance to make it to the finish.  With faith we have the compass that leads us in the right direction.

So today on the Mayan calendar we combine the 12 and Oc the Dog, reminding us that while we are not yet “there” we can have every speck of belief that what we have projected will be the outcome.  Commitment and faith do go hand in hand, without the one how do we ever give the other a fighting chance?
