Mayan Daily Insights: Our Qualities, Virtues, and Values

What is our opinion of celebrating our success before we see any signs of results?  We may call it over optimistic or frivolous   We could say that power has been squandered prematurely when it should be used solely for the completion of all tasks.

Today is December 22, 2009, which is also 1 Chicchan, the Serpent in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar.  The number one signifies a new cycle, the first step.  Chicchan signifies the passion in life, the deep physical enjoyment of living.  It’s an all-around feel good – can we have that, right now?

It is reasonable to make sure we have the resources we need for each step of the way.  We can even go so far as saying “all things in moderation”.  Today let’s focus just on the beginning.  When we begin anything isn’t it wise to start with the best resources?

So today, on this day of 1 Chicchan, let’s remember to always carry a little bit of that passionate enthusiasm in our journey.  When we enjoy ourselves we increase the odds for success in our favor.
