We Still Need to Let Go Long Enough

Yesterday we talked of standing ground, holding our convictions. Today we speak of letting go. This may appear to be a mixed message but it is not.

We are today in the center of the Genimids Meteor shower, thought by some to be the best meteor shower in the heavens. This display is been known for up to 60 multi-colored meteors per hour at its peak. Coupled with the approaching new moon our view should be amazing.
I find it intriguing that this heavenly display is coupled with the message of loosening our grip, just a little. Today is December 13, 2009, and it is 5 Cib, the Vulture, in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar.

Stand your ground, then let it go. Isn’t that a bit contradictory? Not in the least. What we have described is the breath. We, you and me, are the containers. If we choose to we can focus on only what will fill our own bucket, or we can turn to the sky, the universe, and see the shooting stars and all that life has to offer. Then we can see, more clearly, that there is more than our bucket could ever contain, and all we need to do is say, “Here, I am ready”, hold that bucket still, and watch as the universe overflows in our direction.

Some may say, “It’s not that easy”, and they are right, if they remain constant in doing it the hard way.

Today we stand with the energy of Cib, the Vulture, reminding us that even if we find the best that life could ever offer we still need to let go long enough for the next great offering to come to us. The number five gives us the blessing as well as the challenge to take this step.
